Quentin Wächter

Quentin Wächter wurde am 01.09.2009 in Solingen geboren. Im Alter von 3 Jahren fing er zunächst unter Anleitung seiner Mutter an, Klavier zu spielen und nahm gleichzeitig an der musikalischen Früherziehung in der Städtischen Musikschule Solingen teil. Der Klavierunterricht wurde bei Iva Jovanovic und anschließend bei Ulrich Eick-Kerssenbrock und Boris Radulovic in der Städtischen Musikschule Solingen fortgesetzt.

Quentin hat die Begabtenförderung seit 2015 vom Förderverein der Musikschule Solingen und seit 2025 vom Förderverein der Kunst- und Musikschule Velbert erhalten.

Im Sommersemester 2022 hat Quentin im Alter von 12 Jahren das Studium im Pre-College Cologne an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, Köln aufgenommen, wo begabte Kinder und Jugendliche eine vertiefte Musikausbildung erhalten. Er studiert Klavier in der Klasse von Prof. Dr. Florence Millet sowie Cembalo in der Klasse von Prof. Michael Borgstede und setzt seit September 2024 den Klavierunterricht bei Boris Radulovic in der Kunst- und Musikschule Velbert und an der HfMT Wuppertal fort. Gleichzeitig besucht er das Gymnasium August-Dicke-Schule in Solingen.

Quentin hat seit 2017 an vielen nationalen und internationalen Musikwettbewerben teilgenommen und diverse Preise gewonnen. Den jeweils ersten Preis hat er bei folgenden Wettbewerben erhalten:

Quentin tritt regelmäßig bei Sammelkonzerten und Veranstaltungen als Solist und im Ensemble auf. Er hat bereits diverse Rezitale in Deutschland und Italien gespielt (u.a. im Rahmen der Kulturnacht Solingen 2024 und der Burger Biennale 2025, Solingen, Konzert für Camera Musicale Romana in Rom 2026) und ist im Duo mit Saxophon sowie im Trio mit Violine und Cello aufgetreten.

Im Oktober 2024 hat Quentin als Cembalosolist mit dem Barockensemble des Pre-College Cologne das Konzert Nr. 5 von Johann Sebastian Bach und im Juni 2025 als Klaviersolist mit dem Jugendsinfonieorchester der Musikschule Solingen das Konzert Nr. 3 von Ludwig van Beethoven im Theater- und Konzerthaus Solingen aufgeführt.

Im Juli 2025 hat Quentin als Gewinner mehrerer Wettbewerbe „Note sul mare“ di Roma am Musikmarathon in Ardea (Rom) teilgenommen und ein Konzert mit dem „Nova Amadeus Chamber Orchestra“, Rom (Dirigent Stefano Sovrani) in der Saison 2025/2026 gewonnen.

Ebenfalls im Juli 2025 hat Quentin am Wettbewerb Campus delle Arti in Bassano del Grappa teilgenommen und den Premio Campus erhalten. Der Preis beinhaltet zwei Rezitale in Rom (Musicopaedia und Camera Musicale Romana), jeweils ein Rezital in Lille (Frankreich) und Palazzo Balchik (Bulgarien) sowie eine professionelle Tonstudioaufnahme in Rom vom Label „Musikstrasse“.

Im November 2025 hat Quentin am Wettbewerb International Music Competition „Giovanbattista Cutolo“ in Nola (Neapel) teilgenommen und den 1. Preis erhalten. Das Preisträgerkonzert findet im Oktober 2026 in Velbert in Kooperation mit der Musik- und Kunstschule Velbert statt.

Im April 2026 hat Quentin am internationalen Musikwettbewerb in Francavilla Fontana (Italien) teilgenommen und neben dem 1. Preis ein Konzert für Associazione Giovanile Musicale in Florenz in der Konzertsaison 2027 gewonnen.

Quentin absolvierte Meisterkurse bei den renommierten Pianisten Michel Dalberto, Cédric Pescia, Massimiliano Ferrati und Anthony Spiri.

Quentin Waechter was born on the 1st of September 2009 in Solingen, Germany. At the age of 3 he began playing piano under the guidance of his mother and at the same time took part in the early musical education program at the Solingen Municipal Music School. Piano lessons continued with Iva Jovanovic, Ulrich Eick-Kerssenbrock and Boris Radulovic at the Solingen Municipal Music School .In September 2024 Quentin started his piano lessons with Boris Radulovic at the Velbert Music and Art School.

Since 2015, Quentin has received the scholarship for the musically gifted children from the Solingen Music School Support Association and since 2025 from the Velbert Music and Art School Support Association.

In the summer semester of 2022, Quentin started studying music at the age of 12 at the Pre-College Cologne of the University of Music and Dance (HfMT), Cologne, where talented children receive in-depth musical training. He studies piano in the class of Prof. Dr. Florence Millet, harpsichord in the class of Prof. Michael Borgstede and continues piano lessons with Boris Radulovic. At the same time he attends the August-Dicke-Gymnasium in Solingen.

Since 2017, Quentin has participated in many national and international music competitions and won various prizes. He received first prizes in the following competitions:

Quentin regularly performs as a soloist and in ensembles at concerts and events. He has already performed various recitals in Germany and Italy (including Solingen Culture Night 2024 and Burger Bienale 2025, Solingen, Concert for the Camera Musicale Romana 2026,Rome ) and has performed in duo with saxophone and trio with violin and cello.

In October 2024, Quentin performed Johann Sebastian Bach’s Concert No. 5 as a harpsichord soloist with the Pre-College Cologne Baroque Ensemble, and in June 2025, he performed Ludwig van Beethoven’s 3rd Concert as a piano soloist with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Solingen Music School at the Solingen Theater and Concert Hall.

In July 2025, Quentin, winner of several „Note sul mare“ of Rome competitions, participated in the Ardea Music Marathon and won a concert with the „Nova Amadeus Chamber Orchestra“ of Rome directed by Maestro Stefano Sovrani in the 2025/2026 season.

Also in July 2025, Quentin participated in the Campus delle Arti competition in Bassano del Grappa and received the Premio Campus. He has won two recitals in Rome (Musicopaedia and Camera Musicale Romana), one each in Nizza (France) and Palazzo Balchik (Bulgaria), and a professional recording in for the „Musikstrasse“ label.

In April 2026 Quentin won the first prize of the International Music Competition Francavilla Fontana and a recital for the Associazione Giovanile Musicale in Florence.

Quentin attended Masterclasses of the renowned pianists Michel Dalberto, Cédric Pescia, Massimiliano Ferrati and Anthony Spiri.

Quentin Wächter è nato il 1° settembre 2009 a Solingen, Germania. All’età di 3 anni ha iniziato a suonare il pianoforte, inizialmente sotto la guida della madre, frequentando contemporaneamente i corsi di educazione musicale presso la Scuola Comunale di Musica di Solingen. Le lezioni di pianoforte sono poi proseguite con Iva Jovanovic e successivamente con Ulrich Eick-Kerssenbrock e Boris Radulovic presso la stessa scuola.

Dal 2015 Quentin ha ricevuto la borsa di studio per i bambini i ragazzi musicalmente dotati dalla Associazione di sostegno della Scuola Comunale di Musica di Solingen e dal 2025 la borsa di studio dalla Associazione di sostegno della Scuola di Arte e Musica di Velbert.

Nel semestre estivo del 2022, all’età di 12 anni, Quentin ha iniziato gli studi presso il Pre-College Cologne dell’Hochschule für Musik und Tanz di Colonia (HfMT), dove i bambini dotati ricevono una formazione musicale avanzata. Studia pianoforte nella classe della Prof.ssa Dott.ssa. Florence Millet e clavicembalo con il Prof. Michael Borgstede. Da settembre 2024 prosegue le lezioni di pianoforte con Boris Radulovic presso la Scuola di Arte e Musica di Velbert e all’HfMT di Wuppertal. Frequenta contemporaneamente il liceo August-Dicke-Schule di Solingen mentre prosegue gli studi.

Dal 2017 Quentin ha partecipato a numerosi concorsi musicali nazionali e internazionali, vincendo diversi premi. Ha ottenuto il primo premio nei seguenti concorsi:

Quentin si esibisce regolarmente come solista e in ensemble in concerti ed eventi. Ha tenuto diversi recital in Germania e in Italia (tra cui durante la Notte della Cultura di Solingen 2024 e Burger Biennale 2025, Solingen, Camera Musicale Romana 2026, Roma) ed è apparso in duo con sassofono e in trio con violino e violoncello.

Nell’ottobre 2024, Quentin si è esibito come solista al clavicembalo con l’ensemble barocco del Pre-College Cologne il Concerto n. 5 di Johann Sebastian Bach, e nel giugno 2025 come solista al pianoforte con l’Orchestra Sinfonica Giovanile della Scuola di Musica di Solingen, eseguendo il Concerto n. 3 di Ludwig van Beethoven, presso il Teatro di Solingen.

Nel luglio 2025, Quentin, vincitore di diversi concorsi „Note sul mare“ di Roma, ha partecipato alla dell‘ Associazione „Arte del suonare“ di Roma è vinto un concerto con l’orchestra „Nova Amadeus Chamber Orchestra“ di Roma diretto dal Maestro Stefano Sovrani nella stagione concertistica 2025/2026.

Sempre nel luglio 2025, Quentin ha partecipato al concorso Campus delle Arti di Bassano del Grappa e ha vinto il Premio Campus tra cui due concerti a Roma (in collaborazione con Musicopaedia e Camera Musicale Romana), un concerto a Nizza (Francia) in collaborazione con EDHEC e un concerto a Palazzo Balchik (Bulgaria), oltre a una registrazione discografica per l’etichetta „Musikstrasse“.

Nel novembre 2025 Quentin ha partecipato al III Concorso Internazionale di Musica “Giovanbattista Cutolo” e ha vinto il Primo Premio. Il concerto dei premiati si svolgerà a Velbert, Germania nel ottobre 2026.

Nel aprile 2026 Quentin ha partecipato al 17 Concorso Musicale Internazionale “Francavilla Fontana – Città degli Imperiali” e ha vinto il Primo Premio Assoluto con un concerto per la A:Gi.Mus nella stagione concertistica 2027.

Quentin ha frequentato masterclass con pianisti di fama internazionale come Michel Dalberto, Cédric Pescia, Massimiliano Ferrati e Anthony Spiri.
